Ginger biscuits

Ingredients
110g self-raising flour
1tsp bicarbonate of soda
1tsp ground ginger
40g golden caster sugar
50g unsalted butter cut into small pieces
2tbs
golden syrup
Method
Sift the flour, bicarb and ginger into a large mixing bowl. Add the sugar and then rub int the butter to form a "breadcrumb" mixture.
Add the syrup and stir the mixture into a dough.
Divide the mixture into about sixteen pieces and roll each one into a ball. Place on a non-stick mat or greased tray and flatten each one using a spatula.
Bake in a preheated (Gas 5, 190ºC) oven for about 12 minutes, then remove and cool before eating.
