After consultation with members of the community throughout Gurnos, Galon Uchaf, Penydarren, Dowlais and Pant, the Partnership initiated a number of pilot schemes for community members to attend and, hopefully, enjoy.

The activity phase of the project ended on 30/12/07 but a number of groups developed through the Equal partnership now operate under the umbrellas of The 3Gs Development Trust and Dowlais Community Development Forum, some of which have become constituted and operate in their own right.

The Parentlineplus workshops have been mainstreamed and are delivered by Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council’s Family and Young People’s partnership. The learners on the Life Support programme have progresses to University Access courses at Merthyr College and The 3Gs has applied for funding from various sources to continue the programme for future learners
